RE: The Parks at Chehaw

We stayed there this past weekend and it was fine. They need some general maintenance (remove Poisen Ivy and Ants from play areas), but as a place to chill and not do much it was great. We spent one night, but I would consider doing it for two. The Bathroom/shower area is not up to par enough for me & the Family to use, but thats why my camper has one built in. :-) Did not do the zoo, but did ride the little train and they have a nice kids play ground. Good Luck.

RE: Roof Maintenance

Greg, How often should a roof have to be sealed? My TH is an 2005 model and the dealer is checking it Monday and I bet $$$$ he says is needs it. I just am new and have no idea how often one should be done. Thanks

RE: Need Help Selecting Right Toy Hauler

Jason's comments are what it boils down too, what you need and want most. None have everything I want in one unit. If it did, I think it would have 18 wheels and my F-250 might not want to come near it. :)

RE: Need Help Selecting Right Toy Hauler

I have a 2005 Raptor 3018TT. The thing I like about it regarding the garage, is that the garage or portion carrying the Toys, it also the main living room. It has two double beds that drop down from the ceiling when the toys are removed providing a large open space for relaxing. We role out a piece of carpet to cover the rubber mat flooring and it like being in a regular camper except I think it has more room. I like the idea of the 5th wheels for maneuvering, but the separate garages are not for me. Then again I do not always take a toy. If you going to always take a bike, 4 wheeler, jet ski, etc. then the separate garage may be best. Good Luck.

RE: Towing a Raptor 3018 w/ GMC 2500 HD???

I tow a 2005 Raptor 3018TT with my F-250 6.0L so I would think your 2500 is plenty of truck. I will say this, it is a heavy load going through mountains but as long as the breaks are in good shape and you get a good controler, you should be fine. I had someone pull out in front of me last November and thought I was going to cream them, but with 6 tires on that heavy trailer, it stopped me short of hitting them. I am not going to travel I-75 between Valdosta and Atlanta because of the traffic. Unless your willing to go 50-55 in the slow lane, you have to travel at 75-80 and thats a bit much for me. Make sure you get a good weight distribution hitch and that you setup correctly. It will make a huge difference in towing.

RE: Replacement Bunks for Fuzion

Our Raptor 3018 has the Happijac fact. installed and it works great. Other than the time, effort, and worrying about how to tie it to the structure, I wouldn't think it would be hard. But then again, I wouldn't touch that install but I am a little lazy and would rather enjoy it than hate it. Good Luck

RE: Converting bunks to contain small kids?

Yes, we connected two gates that you use to keep them out of a room. I think some call them doggie gates. Anyway, I used twist ties to connect them and then they lock in place the same way they do in a door way. It worked well for us in the fornt of out Toy Hauler. We have the little bed that most TT have and blocked it from side to side. No if we can only talk him in to sleeping until 8:30 instead of 7:30. Good Luck
